In the Foundation's Topics
Fully taking responsibility for our life allows us to reach what the Masters call an inner state of spiritual independence.
The purpose of the process of spiritual development is for us to learn to be ourselves by reaching an inner state of spiritual independence; that is, a state in which our own behaviors, decisions, thoughts, and feelings do not depend on what happens around us, but on what we decide to do with it.
